As the conceptual designer, I developed Breathing Space, which originates from my master's thesis, "Pusterum VR." This project explored similar concepts of providing a calming and meditative space for adults with ADHD. Following the success of that prototype, we naturally extended the idea to create a version tailored for children with ADHD.
Breathing Space is a 5-minute interactive VR experience designed to help children with ADHD regain focus and calmness in stressful school situations. The tool provides a peaceful virtual island, where the child receives breathing instructions and engages in one of three relaxing activities. The aim is to remove the child from the stressful environment while keeping them within a learning context, helping them develop strategies for handling frustration.
